You Want a Counselor Who Won’t Ask You to Choose
You’ve weighed two worries before landing on a page like this one, and they pull in opposite directions.
One is a counselor who hears about your faith and treats it as a symptom, something to be handled gently and eased out of you over a few months.
The other is paying for an hour of counseling and getting a Bible study you could have gotten free on a Wednesday night.
Both worries are reasonable, and nobody has answered either one for you yet.

What Happens to Your Faith Here
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Ohio Christian University and a Master of Science in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University.
Both are faith-integrated schools, so I learned the clinical work and the faith in the same classrooms at the same time, years before I ever sat down with a client.
Nothing about your faith is a symptom.
That’s why you arrive here as body, soul, and spirit, and none of the three gets asked to wait outside.
You Control How Much Faith Comes Into the Work
If biblical principles matter to you, we’ll use them deliberately, and you’ll hear them in how we think through what you’re facing.
If they don’t, the work runs on the clinical tools alone and loses nothing.
That dial is yours, and you can turn it up or down as the months go by without explaining why.
I’ve counseled people across the whole range of belief, and I meet them where they are rather than where I’d prefer them to be.

Change Your Thoughts, and the Guilt Loosens Its Hold
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy takes the thought patterns fueling your anxiety, overwhelm, and discouragement, and puts them under honest examination until you can see which ones hold up.
Brief Solution-Focused Therapy builds on the strengths you already have and turns them into practical steps you can take this week, so you’ll meet the next hard thing with confidence instead of fear.
If you were taught that putting yourself last is the whole of being good, every boundary you hold after that feels like a character failure.
You don’t have to lose yourself to care for others.
Start With a Fifteen-Minute Conversation
The consultation is free, and it takes fifteen minutes.
On that call you’ll describe what’s been going on and how much of your faith you want in the room, and I’ll tell you how I’d approach the work.
All of it runs online, so the only thing left to arrange is a time that fits your week.
Call me today at (410) 903-8473, or send me a message through the contact form.
Make the Call
You’ve Been Putting Off
The consultation is free and runs about 15 minutes. I book it myself, so you’ll be talking with me rather than a scheduling system.
You’ll tell me what the hardest part has been lately and what you want to be different by the time we’re finished, and I’ll tell you how I’d approach it and where we’d start.
You don’t need the answers worked out before you dial. If weary is the word you’d use for this stretch of your life, that’s reason enough to pick up the phone.
